Stormy Day -- Wind and Rain

This has been (another) stormy day here at our beach house! Yesterday was NASTY, by the way.

The street that runs beside our house was a LAKE, with a badly plugged drain. Happily we don't need to worry about that here, as our house is up high above the street. (But there was a lot of rain in Portland, too, so we may well be flooding there. Who knows?)

Anyway, the lake was BACK and horrible today -- and somebody hired a service to send a truck to work on it. The poor guy was out there forever working on it in knee-deep water. We opened the blinds and watched -- and even our cats watched. (smile)

I didn't mention that I slept in, while Marilyn went for another walk. She even stopped and picked up a couple of things at Safeway (!!!), and carried those home. (I imagine the grapes were quite heavy!) She's down on the floor exercising as I type this, actually!

This was a lazy day of napping and TV watching that I really enjoyed. The storm raged, but we were totally SNUG here! It's so relaxing to be here.

"Revenge" was excellent last night! As was "The Walking Dead." (Almost forgot to mention that!)

Life is good!
