Beach House with Mitch and Sister Sue (Tues.) - Day of Rest (Wed.)

We finally got to fulfill a dream yesterday: Taking our friend Mitch to our beach house and surprising him -- and was he ever surprised! We'd been afraid he might hear about the house somehow before we could do this, but happily he hadn't...

Anyway, we took a day trip down with Mitch and sister Sue and had a lovely time. We ate at the Lumberyard and played Fascination and spent some time at the house before driving back. Very nice! I even got to walk on the beach and pick up some small pieces of driftwood.

And we ALL FOUR got 'Fascination' tee shirts, which was very, very cool!

Today Marilyn and I spent most of the day in a lazy way. Resting, sleeping, watching TV and reading. Really perfect! We're both still tired out and can't seem to get enough sleep, so it's a good thing to have NOTHING we need to do...

Tonight we did go to Freddies and pick up the things we'd missed when we recently went to Walmart.

Now we're having a beer and eating macaroni salad and preparing to do some writing for the first time in ages -- which is quite exciting!

This is the perfect vacation. Nothing planned, everything off the cuff. It seriously feels like a PARTY!!!
