Movie: "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen"

Marilyn and I purchased and watched the film "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," yesterday on cable. In fact, we liked the movie so much, we watched it TWICE. (NOTE: The above official website immediately loads and plays a trailer -- if you find that annoying, you'll want to quickly pause it.)

I also bought the book "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" for my Kindle, though I haven't started reading it yet. There's an interesting ARTICLE by the author (Paul Torday) discussing how he ended up writing the book that's really worth reading (thanks for the link, Marilyn!). Ewan McGregor (whom most know I love) is amazing as Dr. Jones. But I also love both Emily Blunt (as Harriet Chetwode-Talbot) and Amr Waked (as Sheikh Muhammed). Plus Kristin Scott Thomas (as Patricia Maxwell) also does a great job. The scenery is FANTASTIC during the entire movie, which is a feel-good film. Well worth watching if you haven't seen it. (And I thought it was interesting that author Torday wrote this book at exactly my age, by the way...)

I need to talk about some other movies we've seen, but I think I'll save that for another time...
