Occupy Portland Situation...

Glued to the TV watching the Occupy Portland situation.

Believe me, Marilyn and I understand protesting -- we're children of the *original* generation in this country who protested. Keep it PEACEFUL folks, because that's the way to do it.

There have been some tense moments... And an officer (black male) was injured, but the violence seems random and slight.

Marilyn and I went to see "J. Edgar" tonight (we really liked it), then stayed up to watch this on the news...

Right now Marilyn is snoozing on the sofa, and I'm starting to fade. I guess I'll head to bed soon...

Reading at Facebook has been interesting. Please don't try and tell us about the protests of the 60's and 70's if you weren't even BORN yet -- or judge what we're like today. We didn't all become 'old conservatives' (!!!). Really??? This sort of crap just burns my ass!!!

I've been there before with people telling me what it was like, who weren't born yet. Um, yeah, I get that you've heard and read about it. Great. I admire your interest in history. But we were there and have a slightly closer perspective. That's all I'm saying...

Well, that's it for now. Off to bed soon...
