IKEA -- New Stuff to Enjoy!

Marilyn and I did some true aerobic shopping today. (whew)

We went over to IKEA and got a new chair for me for the family room, a new chair for Marilyn's bathroom vanity and some other items, including these cool laptop stands that have a tripod base and are super-light weight (which means they're easy to move around).

I need to take some photos downstairs so I can share how it looks. We're really getting there fixing it up after our June flood. It's hard to believe it happened just over two months ago (on June 1). What a difference a couple of months makes...

By the way, I'm surprised at myself for not blogging most of this week. My last entry was on Monday (!!!) -- and it's now Thursday (well, early Friday morning). Really, Charlie?

IKEA was WORK. Just shopping there is something else again! You have to locate everything, get it into your cart. Check it out and get it back into your cart yourself, then out to the car and into the car. Then home and into the house! Then you have to open the boxes and assemble lots of it... It's little wonder we're both so tired tonight!

Last night Marilyn took sister Sue and me to the show to see "," starring Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Marisa Tomei and Kevin Bacon.

My opinion? Well, the crazy and stupid part pretty well summed up the movie for me.

Marilyn and I both would have preferred more humor. I found the movie pretty depressing, frankly. But it was fun for the three of us to go to a movie together, anyway.

Well, we're off to bed shortly, so I'll wrap up for now.
