Sunday Marilyn and I took a drive up the Columbia River Gorge. It was lovely, as always!
Then we went to the show to see "Cowboys & Aliens," with actors Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford (both were marvelous in these roles). Marilyn and I loved the movie and would highly recommend it -- but warn that it is both gory and violent (and the aliens are very creepy).
Harrison Ford is especially good in this film, we both agreed. The movie got mixed reviews, but I think if you give it a chance you won't be disappointed...
By the way, in the middle of the night last night, Marilyn and I watched the movie "Joshua" on cable -- and we both LOVED IT (love, love, loved it). We'd both recommend this film -- but I'll mention that it's religious in nature (so if that sort of thing bothers you, you'd want to skip this).
Today we went with sister Sue to Sauvie Island. Our original plan was to eat at Kruger's there, but it turns out they only have food on the weekends. (sigh) We love their hot dogs and roasted corn. (yum)
So we ended up eating at Roake's instead -- having Roake Dogs (hot dogs with coney sauce) and onion rings. Sister Sue kindly treated us!
Later on we went to Borders to use a gift card and get some sales books. It's a shame they won't be around anymore. Marilyn and I both felt like we were picking the bones of the place... (sigh)
After that we headed to Washington (state) to WalMart to do some essential shopping. And now we're back home again!
Sister Sue goes in for her heart tests tomorrow. Good thoughts (and prayers) are much appreciated -- thanks!
Marilyn and I need to get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight, as we're taking the car in for an oil change first thing in the morning. (In Wilsonville.) So that's it for now!
