A Perfect Day of Vacation!

Marilyn and I left the house at 10:30 this morning and didn't get back home until 8:30 p.m. And we had a WONDERFUL day! Today was the exact opposite drive of yesterday, as we ended up at the Oregon Coast.

No real details tonight, I'm afraid. But we did tour Fort Clatsop and have a fabulous meal (including decadent desserts) prior to that. I have photos to share, once I download them. On the drive we stopped at Tongue Point in a field of dandelions and took some incredible shots -- and then went to a Garage Sale in Astoria where we picked up a number of fun items, totally spur of the moment.

Later we had our favorite beverages (!!!) at McDonald's -- for a change -- and got a bag of cherries on the way home.

The weather was PERFECT -- sunny, blue skies and so warm. The ride was beyond description, it was so beautiful.

A lovely vacation day that we'll both always remember -- especially with all the pictures we took! I really can't wait to download them. Oh! And we've already put some of our new items in place downstairs -- a large wooden fish for Marilyn's bathroom and a fantastic metal art box for the family room!

More about it all soon...
