2:00 a.m. -- Sleepy.

It's almost 2:00 a.m. -- and I'm sleepy...

At least I woke from napping (smile) to turn OFF the heat (!!!) for the night. Both Marilyn and I hate to try and sleep all night with the heat coming on over and over again.

And I needed to take my night pills, as well.

Happily, before I finally went for a nap, I figured out the CSS code that's been bothering me for a few days. (woo hoo) As I rule I never use the !important command in coding. But when I couldn't get text-decoration: none; to work the way I was expecting, I discovered that text-decoration: none !important; worked perfectly! Then I was finally off to the races, my friends. Way to do, Charlie! (grin)

I'm trying to remember... I had some other piece of coding that didn't seem to want to 'play nice' recently, too. If I can recall what it was, then I'll try !important out there, too. It might just fit the bill.

As for resources, I continue to read the two books I've used for years now, plus one I bought via Amazon used not long ago. I have a few online resources for coding, too, but don't care for video tutorials, I find. I like to read things, so books work great for me -- and well explained written code online.

My latest thing was to code a very simple interactive 'button' that didn't require any images, but still looked really nice -- and had a nice effect when hovered. I don't think there's any way to show it to you here at LiveJournal, though. I've been through this before where I tried to style things so others could see them, and it's not all that simple. But if I reason it out (???) then I'll do that -- and share the code, too. Who knows? Maybe one of you will have a use for it! (smile)

On that note, I'm off to bed for the night. Marilyn gets her hair done tomorrow -- and I guess we'll probably go in to the office to work. (sigh) There's always so much to get done...
