Goodbye, Christmas, We Hardly Knew Ye...

Marilyn made it clear how she felt about our non-Christmas this year: It sucked. In all honesty, I have to agree. We did decide that we'd seen worse, though, so it wasn't the top of the Bad Christmases list. But it was up there, regardless. Normally, I enjoy the period between Christmas and Little Christmas, but this year I just want to shoo Christmas out of the house. There was nothing special, we didn't get to do much of what we had planned and we were stressed and depressed much of the time, so it's time, frankly.

Anyway, I spent most of the day in bed, staying down to feel better. (I can't scold sister Sue for not doing it unless I'm willing to, myself!) I only put a couple of hours, tops, to starting to 'pack up' Christmas, which did not include boxing up our tree (I'll hopefully do that on Wednesday). Our one table and the area near it has stacks of Christmas stuff ready to be neatly packed away. And I did a load of dishes and cleaned up the kitchen, so things are a lot more pleasant in both the kitchen and living room.

I'm hopefully going with sister Sue to WalMart tonight, while Marilyn stays home and works on her fanfic that's due almost any second now (tomorrow). She obviously can't work on it while at her job, so she needs to get it done here at home. And as she got little (or no?) sleep last night, she probably needs a nap big time. I suspect the first day back at work was a bear...

I should color my hair (at least the roots) tonight, but I must at least shampoo. Then I'll work tomorrow (regardless of how I feel), and try to get caught up on things there. I also have some website things to tackle, plus PSSCA, so I have plenty to keep me out of trouble. (smile)

I imagine Henry will be horrified to be 'alone' (with Colin) tomorrow. We've been hovering over him since this latest bout of illness. But he does seem a little better to me. I'm almost afraid to say it, as we're both convinced he has some chronic condition that is slowly getting worse over time...

My current splurge? I got two Louis L'Amour books for my Kindle! One is a collection of short stories, which I've already started reading. I love his stuff! And I recently finished reading "Radigan," another of his books (I bought it before San Antonio and was reading it out loud there, but never got back to it until now). Yes, no matter what's going on in my life, I still love to read every day...

And that's it for now!
