I Love Our House -- We BOTH Do.

I've got photos I want to share and so on, but I'll just put up a quick post here...

Marilyn and I love our house. We're working hard on the flooding situation, and it's improving. Thanks to everyone who commented and shared thoughts -- it means so much right now.

We're hanging in there, though sore and tired -- and not sleeping as much or as well as we might.

Others have been very kind (both online and off), and it really means a lot. Friends are so important in life!

We're relaxing at the moment and just had some (fast food) dinner. The rain just keeps coming, and I wish it could ease up a bit. But we'll make it, no matter what.

We still haven't had time to think about putting up our tree or decorating at all, but that's okay. Something has to give, after all.

We need PEDICURES and manicures, and I need to get my hair cut (so bad) and colored (so bad). But under the circumstances, we're doing the best we can and aren't beating ourselves up about anything.

Sue and Dennis keep offering advice -- and to come over to help, bless them. The want to bring fans (so did Kris) and so on, but we've got all sorts of good supplies around here (especially after TWO trips to the store last night and very late last night). Plus we got our own fans back from the office today and have them running, so it's all good.

Tomorrow is the third Sunday of Advent -- how the time has flown this month! I can't believe it's mid-December already! I'd still love to make and post some icons, but I get that it might not happen... (sigh)

And I guess that's it for today!
