Work from Home Office -- and Virtual Villagers 4!

I worked on IT (surprise!), the festival website and the eNewsletter (due to go out tomorrow).

With a lot of help from Marilyn (woo hoo) and a lot of PUSHING (my own), I've made some serious headway on the website. There's certainly more to go, but it's coming along nicely. (Good thing, as we're not that far out from me needing to start the parade script and focus on THAT!)

It should be interesting to see how all of this goes with Marilyn and me gone during April for five days in a row! Yes, I DO plan to take my laptop along and try to WORK while we're out of town...

The eNewsletter banner turned out nice (and, yeah, I'm picky). And the Court slideshow is done and ready to share there.

I got really pissed off today about the interaction with the support guy at PrimePay (which we use for our payroll). I'm going to need to bitch slap this man, who treated Kris poorly and did some entirely inappropriate things. Man, talk about nerve! He really needs to improve his customer service, I'm telling you...

I now have 881 Followers on Twitter (wow). Pretty amazing when you realize I've only really been using Twitter since January 12. (That's only three months -- and I do use it as frequently as I'd like to...) But I only have 136 friends at Facebook, so... (heh)

We're listening to Jay Leno (I wanted to type #JayLeno -- so you can see I'm all about the Tweet), and laughing with him (not at him). I'm still not a fan these days, though. Most of the time I don't tend to watch...

I need to try to remember to give away some Puppy vgifts! Those are cute.

As for the state of LiveJournal, I think it's safe to say I'm as frustrated as everyone else by how messed up it's been recently. (sigh) Personally, I think this slow down and screw up is a result of recent 'improvements' -- changes that users didn't want and didn't like. They immediately reversed some of it, and there have been problems ever since...

LiveJournal, if it's NOT broken, PLEASE don't fix it. Thanks.

Trying to decide whether to work from our home office tomorrow, or go in to the Rose Building to work (as I usually do on Fridays). I've already been in the office twice this week, and there's no IT that's terribly pressing, so...

We'll see how I feel in the morning, I guess. The thing is, I have a hard time getting eNewsletters finished when I'm in the office at work, rather working from home. I end up with so many IT interruptions. When coding and writing Copy, it's good to have quiet, if possible...

Finally, Marilyn and I are having a BLAST playing the new Virtual Villagers 4 - The Tree of Life. Such a cute and engaging game! I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Sims-like games.
