Why, Yes, Marilyn and I WERE Working Until 5:00 a.m.

Marilyn and I worked on the festival website until 5:00 a.m. -- then caught a (very few) ZZZZZs and headed in to work. We were here by 8:45 -- only 15 minutes late for my 8:30 orientation with the last of our interns for 2010. (I had plenty of time to meet with her before the entire Staff -- minus me -- went to our Staff Retreat.)

We made amazing headway on the website. Now I have MORE to do -- plus I need to get cracking on an eNewsletter that's going out this week!

IT is going pretty well, even though there's more left to do.

I came in second in the annual Pool Jeff hosts (for free) for football. No, I know NOTHING at all about football -- and Marilyn filled out my entry (as she often does). But I won a Sports Lunch with Jeff and am looking forward to it! I'd enjoy going to lunch with Jeff any time, and I figure we can talk tennis. (grin)

I'm fading pretty fast here, in spite of the TONS of caffeine I've ingested. No surprise, really!

I met Dave from Trane who was here to fix our HVAC system. I was also shown some cool settings up in the mechanical room (which is just off the IT Room, which is just next to my cube). Now I know how to reset stuff when we're freezing in here! (smile)

David was by and chatted to me about the City guys coming out tomorrow to fix my IT Room counter, which is very cool! So I was up on my little step ladder marking shelves...

It's noisy downstairs, but I don't care. I'm not even the least bit interested in running down to see what's going on. Speaking of, I'm at the top of a VERY STEEP staircase. There are 11 steps and then a landing. Then another 7 steps before you reach the top floor (where my cube is). I get a LOT of exercise, running up and down and up and down.

Marilyn brought me back lunch. It was a tofu sandwich (???) that was pretty nasty! I like tofu, but NOT sliced in place of meat in a cold sandwich! (yuck) I'll eat baloney and cheese on rye when I get home! (grin)

The really good news? Marilyn and I are taking tomorrow (Wednesday) OFF for her birthday! How cool is that???

That's it for now, I guess. More tea, please...
