What Will Go Wrong Now?

I've been sick with the flu this week.

Okay, it's not the end of the world. I'm not dying sick. I've certainly been sicker in my life. But mostly it's annoying. I have things I want to be doing and I'm not well enough to be doing them.

My main concern is that I not become more ill than I am. This is my 'bad' time of year, for whatever reason. I'm more allergic in the fall and more prone to getting ill.

Enough about me.

Marilyn mistressmarilyn was in a car accident this morning.

I can't even say how upsetting this is to me.

It happened while she was on her way to work for an early appointment (interviewing the final candidate for an important position at PRFA).

I slept through it.

Yes, I'm sick. Yes, I was bad again during the night last night.

But she went off to work sans a lunch because I didn't fix one last night -- and wasn't up this morning to do it.

She went off to work and was struck by another car. She could have been killed while I was asleep! I'm so upset I can hardly type this without mistakes.

I can't write more right now. I need a break and a cup of tea or something...
