Ice Cream and Hamburgers

Marilyn mistressmarilyn and I had Taco Time earlier today (crisp meat burritos, to be specific -- a fave of ours). We'd stopped for gas and they had a Taco Time built in, a nice surprise.

Anyway, that was around 1:00 p.m. (lunch time), and we hadn't eaten again after that. So we decided at midnight to run to McDonald's for their dollar ice cream cones (soft vanilla -- yummy) and a couple small burgers (which is what we almost always get, by the way). Less than five dollars for a late dinner, in other words.

Now I'm making a pot of coffee, we're watching "3:10 to Yuma" on cable and life is very good. (smile)

I'm reading the Dean Koontz book "Odd Hours" and am quite entertained. The man is a very good writer (I've read many of his books in the past) and sometimes I chuckle with the sheer joy of the way he phrases things. (smile) I just went to the official Odd Thomas website. No, I haven't read any other books in this series -- I didn't even know it WAS a series! But I imagine I will after I finish this one. I'm about halfway through the book right now. A very good read...

Well, Marilyn and I plan to sip our coffee and play some computer games. We did a lot of errands today, so we think we've earned half an hour of goofing off.

We did get our manicures, found clothes for the Auction next weekend (four stores later), listened to the music for the PowerPoint and discussed concepts and on an on. It was a busy, good day with much accomplished. We have a LONG list of things to get done tomorrow, as well, so we won't stay up much longer.

My allergies are still kicking my ass, but I just keep spraying and try to ignore the discomfort. My blood count was really good today, so that's a plus!

Poor Henry (Tudor Cat) just had a poop-y butt, so I had to get a washcloth and clean him up. He been trying to lick it clean, but it was a mess -- and he has that long fur to contend with. He was at my feet (on the pillow under my computer where I rest my feet in cold weather) and trying to cover himself, poor baby. Then the smell hit me and I quit scolding him for 'messing with the cords' under there. I didn't realize at first what was going on with him. Anyway, he's all clean and happy now. I can't imagine what would give him the runs, considering he doesn't eat people food and gets the same dry food for every meal. That and water only (no milk). Go figure. He doesn't seem sick, so...

Well, off to play games!
