Rose Lighting Practice

Yes, I (finally) got out the latest eNewsletter around 5:00 p.m. today (announcing all the excitement for tomorrow, this weekend and Memorial Day). It was a big job, but it turned out really lovely.

Then I had to lie down and 'rest my eyes' because they were killing me after doing graphics and staring at code all day long. I ended up falling dead asleep and not waking until Marilyn mistressmarilyn phoned me on her way home to pick me up (!!!).

I got dressed while she drove home, then she got here and we headed down to the new building where the neon rose was mounted yesterday. There were a bunch of us there and we tested it -- it's awesome cool! I don't know how long that took (it started at 8:00 p.m.), but it seems like it was a couple of hours.

Then we came home and had some dinner (homemade nachos) and watched some "Jeopardy" (two) that we had on DVR.

Now we're ready to nap, but I wanted to do a quick blog entry first.

Tomorrow is opening day of the festival! It's just hard to believe. (I think I'm in denial, though I'm very excited!)

This weekend I'll work on more website stuff (I need to do a D.B. Cooper webpage) and try to finally start the parade script. Monday will be very, very busy -- but I'm excited about it!

Nap time. We both need it!
