Men's Singles Final - 2009 Australian Open Tennis

It was an amazing five-setter between Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer.

And I frankly think it's ridiculous that there were complaints (by the commentators) about Roger's play in the fifth set. For heaven's sake! At least they had a fifth set! How about all the finals of majors that were over in three sets?

We were up watching until the wee hours (around 6:00 a.m., I think -- or later), so I did sleep in really late today (past noon). And I'm yawning right now, too. But it was worth it! They both played some wonderful tennis.

I was pulling for Roger, to tell the truth -- but of course I'm delighted Rafa won! I love both players and would have been pleased with either of them as winners.

I'd love to get my hands on some photos of Roger crying like a baby after -- and of Roger and Rafa together. I might need to make some new icons...

What I really need to be doing is writing for our Writing Circle. The piece is DUE tomorrow (!!!), and I'm now pretty convinced that what I originally started isn't going to work out. So I need to start something from scratch, I guess...

Anyway, I should at least be thinking about it, even if I'm not actually writing it! So on that note...
