I apologize to ALL my friends who deal with heaps of snow all winter long. I get that. I really do. But folks, we DON'T get snow here in Portland at the end of January. It's just not... right, somehow. (And if you love snow, no matter what, again, I apologize. But my love of snow is so over now...)
Another photo share! Again proof to myself that it's actually snowing out today!

Believe it or not, I have a bunch more photos. These focus on the big tree near our garage. I personally find it fascinating how thick the tree is and how it protects you when you're under it. (The yard guys always dash there if it starts to rain while they're cutting the lawn... smile...) Anyway, the photos show how hard it is for the snow to get through the tree to the ground. I'll probably post these later on...
By the way, we're expecting FREEZING RAIN today, too. And I hate that with a passion -- far more than I could ever hate snow.
Happily, they say all of this won't last. I hope they're right!
