Work? Afraid So...

There was no way to avoid doing work today. So I spent time on coding some website pages (complicated, in one case) -- and started on the latest eNewsletter for the festival. (It needs to go out now because it announces ticket sales that will start on Friday...)

So, tomorrow I need to finish up the eNewsletter and then do a News item for the website (which is always four pages of coding each time).

I'm happily close to done with the header banner for the eNewsletter, and have ideas for some other images to include inside the body. I've changed the various colors (background areas, column areas and on and on) and made the theme mark match the current colors. I had to change out the old logo for the new one, too (as I recently did for the website).

I remain VERY PICKY about the quality of my eNewsletters -- but I always keep in mind that winning a Gold award simply means I need to keep to a certain standard, after all!

I love making artistic banners -- and think the banners are one of the main reasons for the win. But I also like changing out the various colors and adding in decorative images -- as well as sharing meaningful photos.

I was going to share an example here of my most recent banner, but the damn LiveJournal ScrapBook is DOWN AGAIN (sigh), so I'll have to skip it for now, I guess. (I'm way too 'lazy' to bother putting it to one of my domains -- partly because my FTP application is set up for the festival website, and I need to keep that there for now...)

In fact, LiveJournal was down for HOURS today (well, yesterday, Tuesday), which was a major pain for both me and Marilyn mistressmarilyn. (Thanks to those who recently FRIENDED Marilyn, by the way. She was pleased -- and so was I!)

I need to get back to work... So much to do!
