lj_design mentioned the beta in THIS ENTRY.
If you check the comments to the above-linked post, you'll see that most people don't care for this new Profile view. (I agree with the majority in this case, just for the record.)
This seems like a case of 'if it's not broken why fix it' (yet again). But that doesn't necessarily mean the Powers-that-Be won't make the change, regardless of what users have said. So...
If you're not a member of lj_design, you might want to think about joining -- just to keep up on things like this. Just a thought!
