Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a TERRIFIC day off! Took a long drive in the sunshine. Yes, we're having mild weather and sunshine here in the Pacific Northwest -- go US!

We went clothes shopping. (I'm down a size in pants, I'm happy to report.) I got three new pair of jeans and a couple new tops. Marilyn mistressmarilyn scored with some new clothing, as well. I needed some pants I didn't have to keep pulling up all the time. (grin)

We used our last McDonald's gift card (we're almost out now -- oh no!) to get chicken and some other meat-goodies. (Sticking with the protein diet hasn't been a pain at all, by the way. And obviously the weight is starting to drop off -- which is a good thing.)

And to all my lovely LJ friends:

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Well, I took the time to make a big pile of new icons for Valentine's Day -- intending to share them over at seasonal_icons...

But I never got around to uploading and coding all of them (it takes ages, frankly). (sigh) So I can't quite decide what to do with all of them!

Here's a sample of the animated icons I made -- which I think turned out really cool:

Believe it or not (!!!), I made twenty animated Valentine icons in all, and I think they're some of the coolest animated icons I've ever made. (Not counting the two special ones I made for friend rose_amethyst...) I was getting off on doing animated icons, I guess! I was on such a roll, I could have made a ton more...

And here's a sample of the non-animated icons I made:

Yeah, I also managed to make a ton of those. (grin) I liked messing around with the effect of writing on the gem and glass, which I felt looked cool...

So, here's the interesting thing...

I keep making icons and then never bothering to upload and code them so I can share! Isn't that awful? I mean, what's the point? (I did it at Christmas and New Year and now for Valentine's Day. I hope I get back to actually sharing one of these days!)

Say! And isn't it funny how relaxing I find it to create graphics of all sorts as a hobby? Considering I also do graphics all the time for work, you might imagine I'd avoid it for fun...

But NO!!!

I made a bunch of wallpapers recently, too -- based on our 'official' festival rose for 2008. I just can't stop myself! (heh)

And on the Valentine front, I got a lovely new sterling silver ring from a male friend (bf) -- and Tom got me a fantastic card and darling stuffed bear (just the right size, by the way). I should take pictures and share, I suppose.

We want to get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight -- and head to IKEA tomorrow! So I'd better wrap this up (finally).
