To: My Dad
It's raining cats and dogs outside.
Must be garbage night! (heh)
Yeah, it's also after 2 a.m. and colder than a witch's tit (as the old saying goes). How appropos, considering it's the day after Halloween!
Today was truly a wintery day, by the way... Brrrrrrrrr!
I must clean the cat boxes so we can head to bed, pronto.
Marilyn mistressmarilyn had a record seven meetings today -- and literally worked more than a 12-hour day. (yikes) She didn't get home until after 8 p.m. (It's no wonder many people we interact with can't fathom it, as most people gripe if they have to skip an occasional lunch -- or work an extra hour here and there... I had a bitch of a time getting the woman who was phoning about Marilyn picking up our car to comprehend. I bet she's out the door at 5:00 every night without fail!)
Anyway, Marilyn's dead tired tonight -- and no wonder!
I worked hard, too, putting away lawn furniture in the garage -- lifting things up over my head (hard!!!) to hang them from the walls, and stacking chairs, and rearranging things like mad. So I'm worn out...
But I did get the deck covered -- in a half-assed fashion -- before the rain started. Go me.
Tomorrow I'll get the much-needed printer cartridge and finish my health insurance papers and get them off in the mail. Then vacuum the living room for our Writing Circle meeting at 6:30 p.m. and the family room for the last furnace guy to come and bid in the afternoon...
And phone about my medical appointments and dental appointment -- a 'must do' thing.
Plus get some snacks ready for the 6:30 meeting.
Well, the last of the garbage beckons! (Still there, Dad? Yeah, I'm still doing this in the middle of the night as often as not!)
