So tell me this...
How many people have been fooled into believing the crap this site is selling???
(clicking this link will take you to the site in a new browser window)
And exactly how would any of what they say be possible?
The following is from their site:
Fight Back Against Spammers
WWW Robots (also called wanderers, spiders, crawlers, or bots) are programs that crawl the Web continually retrieving linked pages. When a spammer's bot visits your website, blog, forum, etc, all pages and sites linked to it will be searched looking for email addresses.
Now you can fight back against their robots!
All you have to do is link to this page so that whenever a spammer's robot scans your page, it will be sucked into this one. To link to this page, just use this simple code: (They share the code at this point. See what I say about it below.)
These links will redirect email harvesting bots to trap sites that will feed it with an almost infinite loop of dynamically generated fake email addresses, mostly on known spammer owned domains! This will render their harvested lists pratically useless and of no commercial value.
For the record, all their code includes is either a link with an image (as above) or a link with text that leads back to their site. So there's no possible way they can aid in reducing spam! Which shows exactly how stupid many of us are, I guess...
(Keep that in mind the next time you see the above little image at someone's website or blog!)
Nobody likes having their email addresses 'harvested' -- that's a given. But there are some legitimate ways around it. This certainly isn't one of them!
Yeah. Okay. The truth is that I was stupid enough to consider it for about ten seconds -- until I reasoned it out. (blush)
