Party Day for Marilyn's Birthday -- With Sue, June and Jim

Sue arrived around 11:00 a.m. this morning -- then shortly after the three of us went out to the Pig 'n Pancake (here in Seaside, Oregon) for breakfast. Sue was kind enough to treat us in honor of Marilyn's birthday (which is tomorrow, by the way).

When we got back to the house around 1:00 p.m., June and Jim were waiting for us on the front porch.

Sue and Jim started to play cribbage -- and Marilyn, June and I went into Seaside. We wanted to see the tsunami fish (read about it HERE) that is now on display at the Seaside Aquarium (all three of us had heard about it on the news last night). June hadn't been to the Aquarium since childhood, and it's been ages since Marilyn and I went there (we haven't been there since buying the beach house).

Here are a few photos from the Aquarium...

We also played some Cover All at the Fascination parlor before coming back home.

We visited some more. Then we went to dinner at The Lumberyard Rotisserie & Grill -- a place all five of us love! Here are some photos from dinner...

Marilyn drinking a bucket drink

June and Jim paid for dinner -- wasn't that lovely of them? (Marilyn had planned in advance to pay, so this was a very nice surprise.)

After dinner, we headed back to the house for coffee and cake -- the cake June and Jim brought with them for Marilyn.

Here's Marilyn with the cake...

You can view the album containing all the above photos HERE (full size). (I screwed up the damn links, or you could just click the above to go see these... sigh...)

What a tasty cake it was!!! White cake with amazing frosting -- we had it with vanilla ice cream (Marilyn and I stopped and got some groceries on the way home from dinner, while June, Jim and Sue came straight back.)

After more cribbage -- and cake and coffee -- June and Jim headed for home.

It's now around 11:00 and Sue, Marilyn and I are watching first season episodes of "Dallas" (a series Marilyn and I love). What a fun day!

More tomorrow...
