Dental? TWO Root Canals Are Comin' My Way...

Marilyn took me first thing today to see my dentist, Mary (at 9:00 a.m.). She put me on Azithromycin and Fluconazole (plus something heavy-duty for pain) after taking x-rays. (The first will take care of the horrible infection raging in my body and the second will help me avoid an yeast infection from the first...)

I've got two abscesses (!!!) and two teeth that need root canals. (sigh) That's really not a huge surprise, as I've dealt with the abscesses for literally years now...

After that I met Marilyn at Starbucks where she'd gone to wait and use the WiFi to work on her laptop. Then we went to RiteAid for my prescriptions. They said the wait would be 15 minutes. Right. Try double that and you'll be close to the amount of time we had to wait. Very. Annoying.

Then we came in to the office to work. I've mainly been Facebooking for the festival all day long, along with some minor IT stuff...

It's right around 4:00 p.m. and I'm ready for the work day to end. I can't wait to get home. I'm going to lie down with my Kindle and read and snooze. Sounds GREAT to me! (And actually take some pain meds that I refuse to take while at work...)

Marilyn and I watched "Diary of the Dead" last night -- a George Romero zombie flick. It was quite good, for those into such things. A somewhat different take on zombies...

Yesterday I downloaded a bunch more free books for my Kindle from Gutenberg.Org -- which is my personal favorite place to get books, aside from buying them from Amazon.Com. I'm now reading several books at once (big surprise), including a Louisa May Alcott book I've never read before (!!!), "Under the Lilacs." Yes, it's pretty predictable (as her books are wont to be), but that's okay. It takes me straight back to my childhood -- and especially summertime, when I used to spend hours reading her books...

Trust me, I did get a bunch of things actually geared for adults (smile), as well!

I guess that's it for now...
