shop

Shop for Neighbors...

We need to go shopping for Christmas for our neighbors (plus the mailman, garbage and recycling, computer people and so on). That's a LOT of gifts, and this is the last weekend before Christmas!

It sounds like a late night trip to WalMart for us tonight. (smile)

We happily did not get the snow they were talking about last night, but it was quite windy. (yikes) I think we're in for more rough weather this winter...

We picked up an LED scented candle (well, two) actually made of wax! They really look like the real thing -- and smell good, too. (We like to have pine scent to make up for the artificial tree...) These were inexpensive and are (again) safe to have around the cats. Cool!

Marilyn and I drove out briefly to check on the race route that was in dispute (and take photos). Then we went by Starbucks where they were having a 'party' -- which included live music! No, we didn't know in advance, but it was cool. They're OPEN on Christmas Day, which is also cool. There's a good chance we'll drop by...

I made soup, baby meatloaf sandwiches and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner. (yummy)

We've been watching Christmas movies on TV and playing computer games, nice after what was such a BUSY (and stressful) week. As Marilyn says, we're ready to focus on the holidays and a little less on WORK right now.

(Of course, I have festival website stuff I need to do, but that's neither here nor there. I'll get it done...)

Actually, we do plan to work on the PSSCA website -- and I'm really looking forward to it.

On that note, we need a nap before we go shop, so I'm off...
