Very Lazy Day!

Marilyn mistressmarilyn and I slept in really late. Sister Sue suzy_qp left before I got up, though I did check on her several times during the night (early morning). She did end up going to church with her friend and enjoying it.

We spoke with cousin Linda today, and left a message for friend Shari. But aside from that, we weren't really social -- the first time in a full week.

Right now we're sitting playing Zuma on our desktop computers in the office. We didn't go out all day, putting off getting our manicures for tomorrow.

I did speak briefly to my boss Jeff -- but it wasn't about work. He has issues with his home computer and wanted advice on what software might help. I recommended AVG as an anti-virus and Malwarebytes to remove adware/spyware (both are free). So we'll see if that helps him. Bottom line, I suggested Kris could help him out -- so that may be what happens for him.

Well, back to playing games!

thumbs up

"Murder, She Wrote" HOG (hidden object game) is FABULOUS!

SpinTop Games has a 50% off sale on through the end of the year -- so Marilyn mistressmarilyn and I bought the "Murder, She Wrote" HOG (hidden object game). We just played the first mystery, which was GREAT FUN! (Okay, so it kept us up past 4:00 a.m. -- who cares? We're on vaca, after all... smile...)

For anyone who is in into HOGs, this one is getting good reviews -- and we thought it was WONDERFUL. (And we've always been fans of the TV show, too, which was one of Mom's faves!)

Marilyn is typing a nice 'thank you' to Jim and June for our Christmas gifts from them. June made us this very cool stand that we've been using like mad, and they gave us a lovely live poinsettia (we haven't had a live one in YEARS AND YEARS, mainly because of cats). They also gave us a cool notebook and flashlight (Marilyn took the notebook and I took the flashlight). And they gave us Susan Boyle's CD!!! All really thoughtful and nice gifts.

It's decidedly time for bed now...

Quiet Day

I just got up from a long, lazy nap! (smile)

Marilyn mistressmarilyn and I did play another round of our "Murder, She Wrote" HOG (hidden object game). I love how well done it is and how well they've done getting people to sound like the original characters. It's quite clever!

I actually had to do some festival WORK today, as it's Monday and those not taking time off we're back at work. Pam can't use Remote Desktop (again), Hailey couldn't get to our ClubRunner website, and there are some other IT-related issues going on, as well. I helped with a temporary fix for Hailey, but I don't know what's going on with Pam's issue. (I might need to have Kris step in...) Mainly I've been avoiding doing any actual work during this vacation, which is truly a first! (I did tons of work both in December 2008 and 2007...)

Marilyn and I were going to go get our manicures today, but we skipped it. We really need to go tomorrow, though! And she and sister Sue suzy_gp are going to get oil changes for their cars first thing tomorrow morning...

Right now Marilyn is doing the treadmill (go her!).

About the most useful thing (aside from festival work) I've done all day long is wash my hair. (heh) I did pick up the kitchen and load the dishwasher, but that's about it.

I started a meme that a friend posted, but didn't finish it. And I have icons I've been working on, but I don't know if I'll get them finished or not. Hard to believe the year is almost over! I'm really excited about 2010!

I guess that's it for today. Dull, I know! But I'm enjoying my vaca!
