voracious reader

Finished My Current Book (of many), "Crossing to Safety"

Thanks to Paul loaning it to me, I finally finished "Crossing to Safety" (published in 1987), by Wallace Stegner (who won the Pulitzer Prize in 1972 for his book "Angle of Repose").

Stegner is an AMAZING writer. I can't wait to read more of his work.

Though I loved his writing from the beginning, I wasn't sure I liked the actual story he was telling until I was well into this book. I didn't really care for the end, but I did enjoy the read, even so.

And on to the next book! I've always been in the middle of at least five books all during my life (aside from manuals, that is) -- but right now I've been reading at least twice that number. So I've got quite a few more to finish up!
