work

Still Working? Yes.

Yes, it's past midnight.

Yes, we're still at work.

Marilyn mistressmarilyn thinks we should go home at 1:00 a.m. so she can shower. Then maybe we'll take a two-hour nap before coming back again.

I'm fine with that, as long as I'm home for Ron to work on my computer at noon. I started to say 'tomorrow,' but I actually mean 'today,' don't I? (smile)

There's so much to do -- and so little time to do it! I need to get back to work...

Work. And More Work.

We got home from the office last night by 2:00 a.m. -- then got to bed by 3:00 a.m. Because we needed to be up 5:30, we set more than one alarm (I set my cell phone alarm). Even so, I had to wake Marilyn mistressmarilyn, because she was sleeping through her alarm...

We were back at the office by 6:30 a.m. and back working immediately. And we've been going strong all day long.

Don't get me wrong, this is true of half (more) of the staff today -- not just us.

I'm not whining (seriously), just noting that I'm in serious pain with this dental thing. So I have taken two half pills of the Vicodin dentist Mary gave me today. I took one half with my other meds at 9:00 a.m. this morning (must be taken with food, I had yogurt). Happily, I had no stomach upset, even though that's one of the major side effects.

And I should probably knock on wood, but I haven't had any reaction to the new meds that I can tell so far.

I've been creating cover pages and doing photo layouts for Pinnacle submissions all day long, with only a few minor breaks. Those were mostly to help Ted who was here doing measurements for the new building. And I did take a short break to eat some lunch past 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.

I'm fading a bit right now (my eyes are watering). I'm forcing myself to eat some nuts (protein), to see if that helps me get back to it. I have quite a few things left to do...

It looks like we may be finishing up with some of it tomorrow, though the bulk is being mailed today. (The submission for the website was sent previously, I believe. And the eNewsletter submission is going today. Keep your fingers crossed for me, will you? I'd love to get awards for those again this year... I think both are seriously improved over last year, so there's certainly a chance.

It's actually an honor to help Marilyn out with her submissions. Plus I'm learning some new little things about Word. No, I'm not at all good with Word, really. I tend to compare it to coding and find it annoying when I do. (smile) But I was doing photo layouts with it, adding nifty little captions in text boxes -- and it all looks very nice.

Naturally I get to be artistic with my special covers, which I enjoy.

I could easily ramble on, but I need to get back to work, so I'll save it for another time. Happily Ron canceled on me last night, as I didn't have time to be home for the computer work. Hopefully we'll get to it next week...

Now that my Vicodin has kicked in -- again -- (I took another half in the middle of eating, as chewing just kills me) I'm good to go. Marilyn is in her afternoon meeting and says we'll be going home after that. All I can say is 'we'll see about that' -- considering there's so much left to do!
