no way lj, lj -- no way

LJ Moving Day? But What About NaBloPoMo?

LiveJournal's Moving Day is Tuesday, November 18. I'm not crazy about the timing...

If for any reason the move takes more time than expected, it's going to mess with NaBloPoMo.

For those unfamiliar with NaBloPoMo, it's designed to encourage participants to blog every single day of a given month.

By the way, I was a 'winner' for October, having posted every day of the month...

Of course, with any luck, Moving Day for LJ will only take the four hours they say we can expect. If that's the case, no problem! But I guess we'll all have to wait and see, won't we?

Like NaNoWriMo, NaBloPoMo especially focuses on blogging during the month of November. It was created for those who couldn't quite commit to NaNo, but were willing to blog daily! (smile)

I had meant to ask if any of my friends were going to participate, but in light of being sick and busy, I totally forgot. (sigh) However, the good news is that NaBloPoMo happens every month of the year (!!!), so if you'd like to give it a try and you missed doing it this November, you can always do it for December -- or any other future month.

By the way, if you'd like me to do this with you during any given month, let me know! I'm game...

Marilyn mistressmarilyn and I are doing this together, and it's not as easy as you might think. We're constantly having to remind ourselves to post. I tend to be a person who will post several times on some given day -- but not necessarily post on a daily basis.

When you have a really busy life, it can be easy to forget to take a few minutes to post, as silly as that might sound!

Anyway, it does force me to try and be a tad disciplined about blogging, anyway. So that's a good thing.

Well, hopefully the LiveJournal move will go okay. Interestingly enough, the last move (when LiveJournal moved from Seattle to California) took place on the same day, or close. (I can't quite seem to pin down the actual day of the move -- even checking my blog entries from back then. But it was right near to the date they're planning the move, anyway!)

I wonder if anyone else realizes that fact?
