NaNo Update (Wednesday -- #4)

Yes, I realize it's now past midnight, making the timing of this entry November 17 (Thursday). But I finished my latest chapter/chunk of my novel well before midnight. I just didn't get to post the update until now!

And I have happily finished the garbage and recycling (in record time). Dad, if you're looking down from heaven, it was NOT raining tonight while I did it. (Chilly out there, but no rain!) Dad and I had this joke that it always rained on garbage night... (smile)

Marilyn mistressmarilyn and I are now sitting at our computers (side-by-side), sipping our coffee.

In spite of the fact that Marilyn got seriously bad news at work today, you can't keep this girl down... (And if anybody cares to quibble with me for calling her a 'girl' I'd advise you don't bother. I'm immune to any and all age-related bullshit.)

(heh)

So, another 1,073 words this evening brings my NaNoWriMo total for Wednesday to (drumroll please!): 4,880

That's my best one-day total to date. (And I thought yesterday was a good day at 4,198 words!)

And now my total number of words since November 1:

I'm in an amazingly good mood tonight... (grin)

NaNo Update (Thursday -- #1)

I did quite a bit of NaNoWriMo activity today, but most of it wasn't writing.

I had something of a epiphany regarding my novel yesterday. While writing I realized where the main theme of this book is headed -- which required that I go back today and do a rewrite of a previous part/chunk.

ETA: This is so long I'm coming back in to lj-cut it. Sorry I didn't do that to begin with!

Anyway, I rewrote 6 (I merely number my parts/chunks, rather than name them). To keep from making myself CRAZY about numbering, I simply took the total of the 'new' part (which I made 22-6 -- meaning it's 22, but actually a rewrite of 6) and subtracted the total of the 'old' one (6, in other words). That might not make sense to anyone else reading this, but it thankfully does to me! (smile)

The upswing is that I ended up writing 1,381 words today, which is just great by me! So here's my new total number of NaNo words:

Well, if we don't go tonight, we'll go tomorrow (during the day!!!), for sure.
