I'll have to do a 'real' update tomorrow, as it's nearly 11:00 p.m. and we've been going strong all day long... (And tomorrow promises to be another very busy and full day!)
Anyway, for the record, they played "The Boondock Saints" in two theaters at the Lloyd Center Cinema -- and both were sold house. Seriously. There wasn't an empty seat anywhere and they were turning people away!
I'm so glad we went. It was quite an experience!
I'll cut this for potential spoilers, I guess. (Are any of you fans?)
However, don't rush out to buy the new DVD, as it doesn't appear there was anything added in but more gore. I'm fine with the gore, but I don't think I want to pay the $$$ for it, thanks. (grin)
Duffy didn't even put back the scene with their mother -- and I think he should have! But whatever...
It was an interesting group there to see it -- and all of us got very friendly. (Marilyn mistressmarilyn and I were offered a swig from the flask of the guys in front of us. Heh. My vest was admired yet again. That seems to happen to me a ton, frankly...)
Fun, fun. Worth losing some sleep -- and dinner -- over!
In other news, our nephew Larry and his wife had their baby boy Levi David today. (They deliberately had it induced to be born on Mom's birthday.)
Yeah, this is our mother's birthday. I doubt she was looking down from heaven to watch Boondock with us -- but there's a good chance Dad did! (grin)
Food and drink and bed are pretty appealing right now, I think, so I'll end for today!
