Wonderful Grand Floral Parade

The Grand Floral Parade was truly wonderful! It was one of our best parades ever.

And everything ran incredibly smoothly! It was nearly perfect. In spite of of the chamge to a different (and truly horrible) command post -- and the weather (it ended up raining afater all, though not the entire time, and not that hard).

There were some beautiful floats. And amazing equestrian entries -- even though they didn't care for the weather. We had one horse fall three times inside the coliseum. As Stacey clearly stated, from now on we'll have no barefooted ponies. They all need to be in rubber boots.

We had no trouble getting up by 4:00, by the way. And stopping as usual at the same place for bags of ice.

Ashley was helpful. And Xander and Christine were helpful, as always.

But we had to remain for muh longer than usual, because the battery died in the van used as a command post. Miserable thing.

I did finally make popcorn late at night.

Poor Colin is sick and sneezing like mad. He really doesn't feel good.

Anyway, that's the down and dirty version of today.
