Marilyn and I had a very nice (and quiet) Easter day.
We didn't go out all day long, which was fine. I'm getting over my little bug, and Marilyn is fighting not getting one! So we didn't mind a quiet day inside.
We had bacon and fried eggs with rye toast for one of our meals -- sort of a tradition for Easter. No hard boiled eggs, but that was okay!
I had a nice chat with Shari who called to wish us a Happy Easter! She was staying in today, too, but had been to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner yesterday with Jan and Bob.
We got a little bit of Easter candy and ate that early in the afternoon. Yummy. We got a Peeps set for each of us that had a furry Peep and some Peep candy. Dad used to love Peeps, by the way. (smile)
And we watched a bunch of religious movies on TV, including the 1959 Ben-Hur. We enjoyed them.
Jeff and Marcia both texted us Easter greetings, too. We already got a card days ago from Arthur and William back east, and an ecard from Candee and Roger. And one from Shari, too!
We played our games and messed around with our iPads. And I snoozed quite a bit. I haven't been all that sick, just mostly very tired!
I almost forgot! We had popcorn this evening.
And that was our Easter -- very lovely! We enjoyed it.
