Yesterday was the 49th birthday of our friend, Ken, who is visiting from Nashville. He own marching.com and was a band judge for GFP this year.
Our friends Rob and Jeff set up a 'surprise' dinner -- the surprise was Marilyn, Adeena and me showing up to join the three of them for Ken's bday. We went to Fogo de Chao
downtown. Fabulous place!
Before dinner, Adeena and I got to ride the Big Sling. It was so kind of Steven to arrange for us to ride for free. I was laughing and grinning the entire time! What a blast! I've wanted to do it since 2010 when Marilyn rode with Robert, our president for that year. Adeena and I had FUN, that's for sure!
(Zander was at the office and went along with us. He'd told me that if Adeena didn't show up, he'd go with me on the Big Sling. I felt bad he didn't get to go. I really love Zander! He's a great guy.)
I'm still pretty sick, though. I got terrible cramps during dinner and had to leave early. It was such a relief to finally get home.
I spent the entire day sleeping before we head to the office. Fitful sleep, as I'm running a fever (I'm sitting here soaked with sweat as I type this). I was having crazy festival nightmares for hours. Hahaha.
I'm still cramping now, but it's better than before. I drank some apple cider vinegar, which helped. And I'm sipping water all the time.
I'm planning to call the doctor in the morning and get in. I don't know if it will help or not. If this is a virus, there's nothing that can be done. But if it's a secondary infection, then maybe I'll get antibiotics. I guess we'll see. I don't know if I can get in the same day or not...
I feel bad to be too sick to help out at work. But right now I just want to lie around and sleep. Read and sleep.
I can't wait to feel better. This is a miserable bug. Ugh.
