Bazaar Visits and "Spectre" with Ron and Jan
autumn sunshine
Today was a really warm day! Hard to believe. But it's supposed to be quite cold tomorrow.

So, it's been some time since Marilyn and I went to the St. Theresa Parish Bazaar (out on Halsey). We used to go there with Mom all the time and always got nice things. Today we got some NEW dishtowels for the kitchen (the kind made from flour sack material that have been embroidered), plus a couple of decorative kitchen towels and a wonderful holiday (Christmas) runner for our sideboard in the living room.

They were having a book sale, too, so we got a few books. Some are new, and we're going to use them as Christmas presents!

The really cool thing we bought? Glass boxes that have colored Christmas lights inside and ribbons tied outside to make them look like glowing packages! How perfect for putting under the Christmas tree!

Then we went to Elmer's for brunch/lunch. Marilyn got the pancakes she'd been wanting! Yummy, as always.

After that we were heading home and thought we might take a ride -- then we happened to go by the sign for the Pioneer Methodist Church Bazaar and found out it, too, was today! So we went there.

Cousin Linda had been working there -- and waiting for us all day long. We got a bunch of Thanksgiving/Autumn-themed items there. And another dishcloth with a rose on it. We bought a late lunch for Linda (who hadn't eaten), and we both had cups of tea. And visited with friends there.

Jim was there working, too, so we got to see him. (But our friend June wasn't there.)

We left there and came home briefly. I changed, because I was wearing nice clothes to the bazaars. We were meeting friends Ron and Jan in Vancouver to go see "Spectre" again. The photos of Marilyn with the two of them were all fabulous! (I think it's the best social media picture so far for her #SpectreQueen project.)

My right ankle is having a flare-up today. Very annoying (and painful). Well, that's what happens to me this time of year. I suppose I need another steroid shot, but I'd rather NOT have one.

I think the Starbucks RED CUP thing is RIDICULOUS! To be honest, I'm sorry they didn't make them pretty with the usual holiday designs. But I think it's stupid for everyone to make a big deal out of it! Just the crap that Donal Trump (ugh) came up with shows how stupid this is.

Cute note: Sara is a barista at our downtown Starbucks. I mentioned to her one day that Marilyn was disappointed about no Christmas design, so she drew a tree on her coffee. I forgot to tell Marilyn, so she never saw it. But the next time she went to get coffee, Sara drew a snowflake on her cup!!! She remembered and added another picture! Isn't that sweet???

We need to go to the office to work tomorrow. We might have gone in today, but they're working on the Women's Bathroom. They're painting the tiles, so there's an odor. And obviously we can't use the bathroom right now. Hopefully they'll be done by tomorrow.

Still SHOCKED by the situation in Paris. The more we hear, the more awful it seems. Imagine going to the disabled section and shooting people in wheelchairs!

Anyway, I think that's it for today. Sweet dreams, friends!

I sure wish I would have known you were going to the Pioneer Bazaar as I would have loved to have gone with you. Sounds like you had a great time at both of the Bazaars and got some very nice things.
That was nice of Sara to draw on Marilyn's cups.
Yes the whole Paris issue is just awful. Makes me feel so bad. I sure hope I get to go to the show with Marilyn some time soon.

Sounds like you had a super good day. I am taking Nicole to work in a few minutes.
