Then I went and colored my hair.
About that. When you reach a certain age (sigh), color just doesn't TAKE the way it used to. That's partly the reason I need to do it so frequently. The other reason is that I'm coming in pretty damn white now (sigh), so it doesn't take very long before I look like I have bald spots. Hahaha. I think it's pretty fascinating that having white roots mostly appears as balding -- which I'm NOT doing at all. I still have very thick hair. It's a total illusion, but it makes me even more determined to stay on top of the coloring (duh). I'm also convinced that's why nobody ever believes I'm my age. Well, that, and because I act like a dumb kid so much of the time! Hahaha. Oh well!
For the record, I'm backdating, as it's well past midnight. It figures that I didn't wake up before now. I was just so dead tired that I kept falling asleep right after dinner! Marilyn and I were trying to watch "Jeopardy," but I was drifting off sitting up! Talk about getting old. Oh my. Hahaha.
Marilyn came home right after I finished up with the color. So I went to dry my hair and get dressed and made up (again), so we could go pick up my tuxedo!!!
Then we drove there (opposite side of the river from downtown, for those who care) and were able to park right outside in front. I tried it on and the pants are a bit long, but I was unwilling to leave it and come back tomorrow morning. How Juliete got the pants length so wrong is beyond me, considering she measured. But oh well! Still, it looks VERY, VERY COOL! Anyway, I have a few photos to share of Joseph helping me adjust the tie. (smile)

Can't wait to wear this tomorrow night! Doesn't it look great???
After we went to Lloyd Center. We were looking for an 'M' brooch for Marilyn to wear, but didn't find one. That would have been clever, though! Hahaha.
She did get a small hair piece thing that makes it easy to pull her hair up -- she wants to wear it up tomorrow night. This works SO COOL! She looked great when she tried it out at home...
Then we got some food from the food court upstairs and came home... Chinese. It was very good and it was nice not to cook tonight.
Now I need to go out and do the garbage and recycling. It's not 'real' garbage week, so that means it's mainly the recycling and composting that needs doing. I took most of the garbage out already, but I still need to do some. And I need to do the cats boxes, but they aren't terrible (because I scooped them out recently). So I'll do what I can, take my pills, take out my contacts and call it a day!!! (As it heads toward 2:00 a.m.)
Tomorrow is a BIG DAY, after all!!!
I did check the Live Auction PowerPoint that Christine did -- and it looks GREAT!!! The main issue was to make sure the fonts had embedded correctly, which they did. That's all about packaging, because when you package your presentation you do the font embedding step. Marilyn and I never need to do that, however. I use different fonts for my text -- but I do it in a graphic editor! I turn my text into IMAGES -- making them have transparent backgrounds. Then I save them in the .png format. That way I can use anything on them that you can use on any picture you add to a slide. Very neat trick, I'm telling you!!!
Marilyn is doing very retro makeup for the Auction, which looks VERY COOL!!! I really love it!
I'm certainly random tonight! Hahaha.
Sister Sue went and had her hair done for the event. I hope mine will look good tomorrow. I wasn't all that happy with it today...
And that's Thursday!!! Good night, dear friends!!!
