Queen of PSP Tutorials? Maybe!

Yes, I just might be the 'Queen' of Paint Shop Pro tutorials. (smile) Well, for this week, anyway!

I just finished versions 8 and 9 of a blend tutorial, guiding members from beginning to end with this as the result:
Snake Blend -- How To - 8

No. The blend isn't anything fancy. That's hardly the point, believe it or not! The idea is to walk members through the basics -- step by step -- and then let them get really creative all on their own. I think I'm pretty good at giving people the actual steps to use...

Of course, I've been writing tutorials of some type about forever now. (grin) So you'll have to excuse me if I happen to think I'm pretty good at it.

I don't think I'm much of an artist, though. It's why I didn't end up pursuing art as a career. (Or attending the local art college that was so damned expensive.) I know how to make a decent blend, but I lack that step that really makes them art.

I've tried repeatedly to explain this element to Marilyn mistressmarilyn and Sue (and others, too), but it's hard to define. I understand the skills and techniques. But I think I lack some spark. (Clearly I'm missing enough talent to be a true artist.)

I don't mind, to tell you the truth. Art's a very difficult career! (I know more than I really want to know about that from being around our Arts Festival all these years...)

Speaking of which, we'll be doing the Jurying for said festival this coming Saturday. New location that won't allow outside foods or beverages. I wouldn't mind if they were going to have some snack bar open that sold food, but it appears that's a big no! (They want you to use their catering, but the association is way too poor to be able to do that.) (sigh) We'll live. But we'll have to get a Starbucks break in there at some point!

Here's my latest PSP tutorial -- for PSP8, in case anyone is interested...

I suppose I should convert it to PSP7 at some point, though I don't feel the psp7_beginners community needs the tutorials as much as the other two do! The PSP7 community has more than 1,300 members and 108 tutorials. (And that's assuming that we've got all the tutorials in the memories!)

The PSP8 community has more than 1,100 members and around 69 tutorials.

But the poor PSP9 community only has around 300 members and less than 20 tutorials! (How can that be???) Which means I probably need to check over old tutorials I've done for the other two communities and convert them for use there!

Well, we've got a local political event we received a special invitation to that we're attending early this evening. After that it's on to the hush-hush movie project screening and dinner with the techs and potential investors... So I don't think we'll get home again until late.

(My, are we ever social these days!) (smile)

Fortunately the dress for tonight is work casual!

I'm fascinated that local politicians seem to be courting Marilyn's favor these days. (Interesting.) On her side, it's good to have her name recognized in political circles, as it can be beneficial in her work. We both believe in supporting causes and politicians, so we continue to donate when we can...

Anyway, it's almost time to head out, so I'd better sign off for today.

Thanks to Katie katiefoolery for the GMail invite! (Even though I got this message when trying to sign up for Google Page Creator: Thank you for your interest in Google Page Creator! Google Page Creator has experienced extremely strong demand, and, as a result, we have temporarily limited the number of new signups as we increase capacity. We will notify you as soon as we are ready to add new accounts. Thank you for your patience. Darn!)

Seriously, one of these days I'll read more here and comment more, too. Honest! (smile)

It's pouring down rain here now, if anyone cares... (I was actually outside for quite a while earlier, working in the yard!)
