Shopping With Sister Sue for Marilyn's 40th Anniversary Party!

I stayed home today so I could color my hair. Plus I didn't sleep well last night.

I did wash my hair late last night, before bed. (Marilyn was sound asleep while I did that.) Ironically, it's better to color dirty hair than clean. As one site shared: Leave your hair dirty before you start: Color not only holds better to dirty hair (clean hair can be too slippery), but if you wash your hair before coloring, the dye or bleach may burn your scalp because it’s more sensitive then. So had I thought I was going to color today, I'd have skipped washing last night. Oh well...

I don't have issues with insomnia as often as I used to, but sometimes I still can't get to sleep at night. And that's how it was last night. I was reading my Kindle Paperwhite, while trying to fall asleep.

I'm reading a great book! It's "Inspector of the Dead," by author David Morrell. I love David. He's one of my favorite authors. (And as I've mentioned before, I got to talk to him on the phone, and interview him years ago. He's a very nice man!)

There's nothing quite like the feeling of reading a really good book.

Anyway, I'll go to the office tomorrow. I need to help with a website decision. And work on a template for an eNewsletter for the golf tournament. Donn needs to come in, as we need to get Symantec updated. That's our antivirus software. He did go in and get the check for equipment today. We're excited for this to finally be happening. But we have additional expenses, too. We're finally getting surge protectors this year...

Here was the cool thing today! Sister Sue and I went clothes shopping together today!

We went to Ross over by Sue's house. She got several cute items. I love the pants she found. And I helped her find a top to wear with them. We enjoyed shopping, feeling it was a repeat of the shopping trip we shared back in 2007 (the festival's Centennial year). Yes, I did get some things, too. I got a pair of size 18 pants -- I haven't been in an 18 for years, so I was excited. Plus I think they're very stylish. And I got a cute black top with roses.

We also stopped to pick up my prescription and Henry's pills (we were almost out!). And had Starbucks.

I was pleased about Henry! They filled his prescription without asking to see him. And we got six months worth of pills! Very cool.

I did work on the ants again today. Then I fell asleep sitting up, I was so tired.

Marilyn didn't get home until after 8:00 tonight. I made curry rice and veggies for dinner -- it turned out quite good! I also cleaned a couple of stalks of celery for snacks.

I'm so random tonight! My blood count was 99 this morning. Marilyn thinks it's the curry (turmeric). She takes it as a supplement every day. I guess maybe I should, too.

Talked to cousin Linda today, who won't be able to make it to Marilyn's party. It would have been difficult for her to get there, anyway. It's easy by car, but not so easy without one. Anyway, we chatted for more than an hour. We hadn't talked in quite a long time.

I'm yawning and my eyes are watering. I'm ready for bed soon... Work will undoubtedly be intense tomorrow.

Fitbit Update: Marilyn did 3,143 steps. I did 5,948 steps. (Shopping always helps my steps.)
