Busy, busy Monday! Both Marilyn and I were tired out tonight, after a long day. We were the last two to leave the office, at around 7:00.
Marilyn had me phone sister Sue to see if the tennis was playing, as she'd wanted to be home when it started...
She had another day were she couldn't get to her major topic, because of constant interruptions. It's difficult to even explain how often people are in her office, or she's phoned and stuck on lengthy calls.
It was funny today, because I had countless interruptions during my training session with Robin, who finally remarked on it at one point. I told her it was a small taste of what Marilyn goes through every single day! I can't imagine what it's like to be her, and I have enough moments as it is, believe me!
Thankfully Marilyn seems entirely over her cold. And I never actually got sick (knock on wood).
We did start our day traditionally, by taking Robin to coffee at Starbuck's. It's always a nice way to break the ice. Then I sat with her for a couple of hours.
Meanwhile, Donn was there to deal with our Quickbook issues. Good thing, as there were several of these!!! He was busy for several hours dealing with it...
After training was done, it was around noon. So Marilyn and I put together our St. Patrick's Day package for our friend Shari. We dashed out last night to two stores to buy things to send her (plus cards). Then we took the package to the main post office to mail it, because we wanted to make sure she'd get it tomorrow. We had wanted to get the things to her sooner, but it just didn't work out. We had such a crazy week last week.
After that, we hurried back to work. But I did go out and get us some food from McDonald's (some small sandwiches). It was great to get the steps, too! (Marilyn was too busy to go along.)
We both ate while working at our desks.
I wish we'd gotten off earlier tonight, because we need to figure out the whole thing about an ARM for PD. I can't really explain right mow, because it's about our Starlight Parade Grand Marshal, which will be announced on Friday...
I'm working tomorrow at the office. Marilyn and I are going to the Princess announcement for Roosevelt in the afternoon, so we'll wear our uniforms to work.
Tomorrow night we're both going to help Jury for the Internation Youth Silent Film Festival in the evening. It takes place for an hour and a half, and you have to write really fast after each film is played. We'll walk there from our office...
Wednesday is the Metro Princess selection near the office (we can also walk to that).
Thursday we need to finish getting ready for the big announcement on Friday.
Friday we'll be making the announcement out at the Portland Airport.
Those are all just highlights, but as you can see, we've got a busy work week in front of us! That's all aside from our normal work.
I did do some website work today. And IT things, as well. And the training for Robin went well.
My dinner was brown rice and vegetables. Marilyn had refried beans. We were both starved by dinner!
I should go wash my hair, considering tomorrow. But I'm so tired! After dinner, I went and had a 'nap, ' and just woke up needing to blog...
I don't know WHEN I'll get my hair colored, though! It really needs it!
I almost forgot! My blood count was 100 this morning!!! I'm so happy!
Fitbit Update: Marilyn did 6,140 steps (using the treadmill for part of it). I did 7,355 steps. (And didn't need the treadmill today.)
