Marilyn and I were at work by 8:00 this morning. The traffic on the way there was murder! Plus the fog was pretty heavy... But the day was mild (even warm) and beautiful! Like spring.
Marilyn was meeting this morning with Dick (the former CEO of the festival and a member of our writing circle). I walked to Starbucks with Rich and Merlin, but she didn't have time to join us for coffee. I treated Rich, then we headed back to the office.
Marilyn and Dick were talking about her being a finalist for a job with Providence (!!!). Interesting.
Meanwhile, Christine and I had a website meeting at 10:00. I also chatted wit Marissa about the eNewsletter. Plus I tweaked out the staff distribution group in the Exchange. (I'm probably forgetting something.)
Marilyn and I went to the turkey place for lunch. I had a caesar salad with chicken -- delicious!
In the afternoon we had our website meeting with the people from Fish -- Brit, John, Nate and another woman not introduced. It went quite well.
Right after that, Marilyn and I took off for home. We got home by 5:00, believe it or not!
We were both so tired! (And sore, too.) But we went for a walk outside so Marilyn could get in her steps. (I had already gone well beyond my daily goal. I just get more chance for walking during the day. And my desk being up that huge staircase -- and me needing to go up and down all the time -- means I get a lot of steps when I'm at work.
Marilyn bought our tickets for "Fifty Shades of Grey" at the office. We planned to go at 9:00, meaning we could get a nap before going.
Anyway, we had dinner after our walk, then had a nap. We barely woke up in time for the movie!
But I was expecting crowds, and that didn't happen. We met Carol there and saw the 9:00 showing. We're just back home now.
We both really enjoyed the movie -- quite an improvement over the book! We'll see it again. Sister Sue wants to go, but didn't feel up to it tonight.
Marilyn needs to wash her hair, but hopefully we'll go to bed soon.
Fitbit Update: As I said, Marilyn and I took a short walk outside when we got home from work. She had 6,300 steps. I had 7,884 steps. (Again, all those stairs at the office -- up and down, up and down.)
I put out the recycling. I'll do the gathering of garbage tomorrow.
Another busy day tomorrow. I have my website training meeting with Christine at Fish in the morning. And Donn's coming in.
