Well, maybe I'm finally on the mend. I actually feel better today. I still get worn out really easily, but I'm glad I'm getting my energy back. I've got a couple of busy days in front of me, so...
We stayed up from midnight until 5:00 a.m. to watch the finals of the Australian Open last night. We were pulling for Murray, so it was quite a disappointment, considering he went down love in the final set. Seriously, Murray? You couldn't even win ONE lousy game in that set? For the finals? Disgusting...
Then we went to bed, planning to get up in time to have a McDonald's breakfast. Suddenly at 10:00 a.m., the phone is ringing and ringing, and it finally wakes me. It's Marilyn, who has gone to get our breakfast!!! She's amazing. I just love her! So I got my pancakes (which made me think of going there years ago with my Dad). What a treat.
We watched some TV and messed with our iPads, then I went to take a nap at some point. We wanted to take a drive, but I was so sleepy!
Marilyn woke me at 4:00 and we drove down to Sauvie Island. It was a lovely drive! We stopped at Coon Point and got out for a walk (!!!). It was dry, but a little foggy out, so it was slightly chilly. But the cool thing? On their sign it shows a bald eagle high in a tree -- and that's exactly what we saw. It was wonderful! We also saw cows and bulls and geese and ducks and other birds. Lovely!
Then we drove and got some groceries (other items) and popcorn and hotdogs to eat.
Then home in time to watch the end of the Super Bowl. We enjoyed it (don't be shocked). But it was a shame the Seahawks couldn't pull it out! But at least it was really a close game.
We did get to talk briefly to sister Sue after the tennis. Hopefully we'll see her this week!
Anyway, work tomorrow -- training Josefina (our Seasonal Receptionist). Already praying (as I always do) that I'll do a good job and make things clear for her, and help her to get started well and so on.
Donn got all the Profiles done on Friday, after all. Thankfully!
Fitbit Update: Marilyn did 7,200 steps today!!! Awesome! By the way, she did 7,196 steps, yesterday. I did 3,150 today -- so I actually made my goal! I did only 2,067 steps yesterday, but that's still not so bad considering how puny I've been. We're sticking with it, and that's the important thing.
