first thing this morning (at 6:00 a.m.) I woke up in time to see Roger Federer and Switzerland win Davis Cup for The very first time! Very exciting!
I can't believe it, but I feel much worse today. You know how sometimes when you're sick you have a hard time remembering how it feels to be well? That's where I am right now.
High points of today included soaking in a hot tub. And eating a Mexican food dinner made in the microwave.
Frightening moment: At around 1:00 p.m. today I was upstairs, and saw a huge flash of lightning -- then after that we had the loudest crash of thunder I've ever heard! It shook the house! And it continued for some time. It just kept reverberating! It was hard to believe there hadn't been an explosion somewhere, it was so loud. I'm not kidding. Marilyn came running upstairs asking what had happened, because it really didn't sound like thunder. And the cats were totally spooked!
Right after that my friend June, who lives next door, phoned. She's been around a lot of thunder in her life, but she agreed it was the loudest she had ever heard, too! I was just shaking for ages after that. It was quite frightening. (I guess because we grew up in constant fear of 'the bomb,' we can't help having that concept always in the back of our minds...)
Aside from that, I spend a ton of time just lying around being quiet. If I try too much to talk to Marilyn, then my throat makes me pay (and it's sore already). I did sleep part of the day, when I could. Insomnia is absolutely a part of this virus. I feel tired right now...
I was talking to sister Sue today and she thought I was Marilyn! Little wonder, as I have very little voice at all. Sue feels worse today. This bug really sucks (sigh).
I hope I feel better tomorrow. Marilyn says I will. She says she feels better, but it can't be that much, as she's been coughing like crazy today!
The AMAs were on tonight. Yes, we watched.
