This SHOULD Be My Thursday Entry... (sigh)

First off, this SHOULD be my Thursday entry. But there are a couple of reasons I spaced it.

Today didn't go exactly as planned. Our main errand for today was manicures. I've got one shattered nail, plus both of us are annoyed trying to deal with nails that are really grown out. (We keep our nails relatively short for manicured nails.) Anyway, we just didn't get out, so we need to go in the morning. Hopefully by 10:00 (which is when they open).

Marilyn cleaned quite a bit in her bedroom -- in her walk-in closet -- and in the family rooms (including the staircase). Her closet (which is like a room) looks AMAZING! She did a great job there. Little wonder she wanted a nap with all that work!

And we talked about all the cleaning we need to do before next Friday. Our appraiser phoned today and will be here in a week (Friday at 10:00 a.m.). We want tp get a decent appraisal, so we're going to prepare this time. (I can't remember why, but I recall doing little or nothing before the last appraisal. Supposedly it doesn't matter. The last guy told me they focus on structual, not decor or cleanliness. I don't know if I buy that...) It's amazing everything you have to go through when you refinance. Poor Marilyn! But she has a great woman who does this, and who said wonderful things to her. (Marilyn was beating herself up about our current debt, and she told Marilyn that everyone lives in debt, and she wasn't that bad.) This won't go through until December. But we're going to try and really change our ways about money. We'll see how it goes. I don't think we're that extravagant, really. But we do live a happy life, and don't need to do without. We know we're really, really blessed. A day doesn't pass that we're not grateful for all we have.

I didn't plan to write so much about the refinance...

Well, were both really tired today. Yesterday was exhausting.

I think my allergies are a little better, but I still had a couple sneezing outbursts today. It's so annoying!

I'm on a new dose of Metformin. Tonight I had a low blood sugar incident. It's been ages since I had one, as recently my count has been high every day. It was PERFECT this morning. Anyway, we hadn't eaten much all day, and couldn't decide on anything for dinner.

I just spaced blogging with the blood sugar thing, and needing to get the garbage and recycling done. Speaking of, it was pouring rain for ages. There was no way to avoid it, so I did get wet when I finally went outside.

Marilyn is sound asleep on the soaf as I type this. I just heated up a hot dog and ate, so I'd be able to take my night time meds. I need to get to bed! The dishwasher is running.

I talked to cousin Linda today. It's all too complicated to go into. But she had another incident with the so-called 'victim' -- he attacked her, and there were people there who saw it. Last time it was his word against her word, and as she had maced him, she was seen as being in the wrong. I now tend to believe her that he was attacking her and she was defending herself. Anyway, we'll see how it goes.

Apparently she'd planned to 'punk' the two of us tomorrow for Halloween. I don't know exactly what she meant by that, but I let her know we wouldn't be home. (She can save herself the trip.) She said she'd 'told Candy' about her plans -- I wonder what that means? As far as I know, she has no contact with our neice Candy...

I forgot to mention that I talked to Donn repeatedly about IT today. And there's more to come. I need to try and get back to him tomorrow, I guess.

Happy Halloween, everyone! I'm off to bed.
