Made a Casserole

Started the day off getting up early (well, normal time for a work day), in order to head to my labs appointment. Sometimes I can avoid that first pee of the day, and hold it until I get to the clinic, but NOT today. So I was forcing down water from the second I got up.

Interestingly enough, I had a low blood count this morning, and was just shaking. We took along Marilyn's bottle of orange juice, plus an apple, so I could have both as soon as I got back in the car.

I had a new woman in the lab. I told her right off that I was ready for the back of the hand, but she was able to do a draw FIRST TRY from my left arm. Amazing!

Anyway, that took very little time. Then Marilyn and I had sausage biscuits from McDonald'sfor breakfast. We stopped and grabbed a few items from Freddies -- including ingredients for my casserole.

Naturally we did not go to bed early last night, so we wanted naps when we got home. Marilyn had taped "Leave it to Beaver," so we saw two episodes while eating our breakfast. Then we napped. And watched more TV and messed around with our iPads. It was a hot day, so it was great to be in our very cool house!

We're expecting even hotter weather starting tomorrow. In the 90's (yikes). Marilyn's office at work can get really hot, so I need to make sure the air is on for her.

I've got Donn coming in tomorrow to work on the monitors again. I haven't seen Donn in weeks, so I'm looking forward to it.

I have a lot to do at the office...

June is going to get an iPad, and I'm really thrilled! I'm going along when she gets it. Then we'll be able to play with them together! Fun!

I have so many things I need to catch up with. I should make a (long) list.

I spent over an hour preparing the ingredients for my casserole: Dicing chicken breast, carrots and celery. It was pretty hot in the kitchen, with the oven going. And standing in one place all that time is killer.

We had to dash out again to the store, because I didn't have cheese (!!!) for the casserole. This time we ran to Safeway and got just a few quick things. When we got back, I finished up, then put the food to cook. It turned out great -- really delicious.

Watched "Last Comic Standing" and "American Ninja Warrior" -- Kacy was amazing, a five foot woman who made it all the way! What an inspiration!

Off to bed soon. We really DO need to get up for work tomorrow, after all.
