Home to Portland, Thankfully!

Just a quick entry. So tired.

Poor Marilyn got sick last night. Maybe from something she ate, or perhaps a bug (I suspect the bug, actually, as she's had a terrible headache!!!). This time of year we just get sick, being so run down after the festival ends.

I don't think she's had enough rest, yet, really. She ended up doing a lot of cleaning up and such at the beach. And with Wimbledon that means getting up very early to watch, so her sleep hasn't been great, either.

The heat in the house at the beach REALLY bothered both of us. We'd talked about staying until tomorrow, but just couldn't face another second of the heat! So after we'd both showered and washed our hair, we cleaned up and packed up and headed home.

Not an easy drive for her, feeling lousy. And suffering from a bad headache. Plus Henry did a bunch of howling. We can only guess WHY he was so unhappy. But when we let him out, he started to eat and just kept eating and eating.

Anyway, we were home by 10:30. The house was lovely and cool (we left the a/c on while gone for this very reason) and we were so glad. We suffered a lot today...

Well, I should tell about The Walking Dead marathon: Dead White & Blue. But maybe tomorrow. I'm too tired tonight...
