Remember me mentioning that Marilyn and I needed pedicures? We still do. We didn't leave the house at all today.
Marilyn has been feeling under the weather for a few days now, poor thing. But really, it's little wonder. She's had a very hard year, to date.
I was saying at one point today that I couldn't understand why I was still so tired, but Marilyn quickly made it clear that we had good cause to be tired. It's obviously going to take more time for us to totally recover. I need to be patient, I guess. But it's really hard to do much at this point...
I did finish a Kindle YA (young adult) book today: "The Girl in the Wall" (by Daphne Benedis-Grab). I really enjoyed it! I thought the writing was good (if not perfect), and the plot was interesting. It was violent, but I wasn't bothered by it (though some of the reviews for the book made it clear that it wasn't okay with some readers). I would read this author again, and will check into her other work.
I did NOT write on my own story (sigh). I have only one day to finish it, which might not be enough time. I just couldn't motivat myself to sit at a computer and write, either yesterday or today. I'm a little disappointed in myself, but it's okay. I will get back to writing, but the timing for this competition wasn't that great for me...
Gosh, I still haven't written back to Rob and Jeff. Or to John (he wrote ages ago). And I need to call my friend Mark. I'm not usually such a bad friend...
That reminds me that I was going to send bday greetings to my long-time friend Sandy. Hasn't happened so far...
I hope I wake up energetic tomorrow!!!
