Good Day

I slept late -- which was (as always) very nice.

Saw some of the tennis... There's a lot of GOOD tennis this time of year. Almost time for the U.S. Open!!! (The 2013 U.S. Open runs from Monday, August 26, through Monday, September 9.)

Marilyn and I went out and ran some errands, which did NOT include getting our manicures, I'm afraid. That MUST happen tomorrow, though. (We're both having issues with our nails...) At least we did get my meds, thankfully!

I had such a GOOD day! Which included a nice nap in the evening (instead of going to the show) -- plus going for ice cream at our local Baskin Robbins (I had a peach version -- Marilyn had peppermint). Today (August 18) is Christopher Ewing's birthday (of "Dallas"), so the ice cream is in celebration of his special day. (smile)

The movie we had thought to see was the latest Percy Jackson ("Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters") flick -- can't wait to see it! (Marilyn and I are huge Logan Lerman fans, by the way...)

We also want to go see "The Butler," with sister Sue -- featuring Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey and John Cusack (among others). Excited to see it!

Marilyn is getting ready to do the treadmill, and I'm thinking about reading my book The Family Corleone," by Ed Falco (based on a screenplay by Mario Puzo). I'm really enjoying it, and I'm at an exciting spot right now... (grin)

Gosh, I love summer!

Tomorrow we might go to Sauvie Island to pick green tomatoes with sister Sue!!! (woo hoo) Hope so!

That's my Sunday...
