Work at the Festival Office...

Marilyn and I managed to get to work in time this morning, though traffic seems worse than ever lately. We're lucky to have such a good commute...

I tried the Greek yogurt version of Activia -- and I really like it! I may start using it all the time.

Marilyn had a coffee meeting, and I thought about going alone to get coffee, but decided against it. We did take a ride at lunch time and I had hot dogs (!!!) to eat -- Marilyn was good and stuck to her protein bar. I should have eaten something healthy -- my blood this morning was 100, which is really good.

I worked on some covers for Pinnacle Award submissions. They turned out okay, but were nothing to the fabulous covers I did in 2012. Oh well. We're just not that concerned about it this year. As it turns out, that's saving us quite a bit of money, by the way. I think Ashley figured it at $800 (maybe it was higher), when you added up all the submission fees, plus postage. You know, it's about a lot more than $$$ -- it's about the tons of hours we all have to put in to ready submissions. And we're all feeling good about less work right after we've finished up with our busy season...

Today was Emily's last day. Marilyn had a meeting with Emily and me so we could discuss the Grand Floral Parade in detail -- what worked and what didn't. It was a very good meeting.

I did make a healthy dinner and we both ate that. The coffee seemed especially good.

Well, I'm off for a nap soon. We have to go to work in the morning for a clean-up project at the office. I hope more people turn up than have bothered to RSVP, by the way. It could be very successful, but I have a bad feeling about it.

Marilyn and I may head to the beach in the afternoon. We'll see!
