First off, THANKS for all the kind words for sister Sue, Marilyn and me about our loss of Wayne. We all appreciate it more than I can say! (We're going to be fine -- though I imagine I'll be blogging about Wayne for some time to come...)
We did actually WORK this morning -- even though I was going around making comments about how it should be a 'wasted day.' (grin)
People had meetings and were on their computers really grinding away. And I set up Stephanie's profile on what used to be Alina's computer -- then put Alina's profile over on Stephanie's old computer. Oh. And I moved Stephanie to her 'new' phone -- and dropped Chris and Alina from the phone system. So I had plenty of IT to do, anyway...
Marilyn had Stacey (the GFP equestrian chairman) coming by today -- so she was worried Stacey would be late. It was almost time to leave for the movie and she and I were going to stay behind, but Stacey finally made it (!!!). So we were able to leave with everyone else.
We left at noon to go to the movie -- and we walked there (it's right downtown). Jeff bought all the tickets (the festival paid), then we all bought our own food/drinks/whatever. But Emily had picked up some candy for each person (!!!), and we had that, too. (How sweet of her!)
I really need to do a REVIEW of "Man of Steel" -- which I am sorry to say really SUCKED big time. If you're a Superman fan, I'd suggest you avoid this film. I'll give more details as to why when I do my review. What a disappointment!
But it was still FUN all of us going to a movie together! Then out for drinks and snacks after. We finally broke up at 5:00 p.m. to head back to the office...
The cool thing? Marilyn and I were home by 6:00! That just almost NEVER happens!
Finally, I've started a new book: Marilyn recommended I check it out. It's "Divergent," by Veronica Roth. Two reviews read: "A memorable, unpredictable journey from which it is nearly impossible to turn away." (Publishers Weekly (starred review) AND "You’ll be up all night with Divergent, a brainy thrill-ride of a novel." (BookPage) I'm almost half-way through the book, so clearly I think it's entertaining. (smile) Especially when you consider how TIRED I am -- and ready to just nap...
Speaking of, I'm off to bed! Goodnight all.
More about "Man of Steel" tomorrow (I hope)!!!
Quick Update -- More Soon! Movie Day!!! (Survived the Week...)
