Still Sick. (sigh)

I did manage to sit up and do some work today -- including doing the eNewsletter for tomorrow. Thankfully it was an easy one, so there wasn't much work to do. I had to finish the banner (which I'd already started) and find some images. But most of it was easy. Plus Marilyn wrote one of the articles for me (she's always a huge help).

I just had some actual food, which is pretty much a first. All I've felt like eating is yogurt up until now. I've got mild indigestion, but little wonder.

At least I don't have a sore throat tonight. I'm stuffed up and feel crummy. Just not myself. (sigh)

There's nothing much else to say. I finished "The Lost Hero" (by Rick Riordan) and started a new book: "The Perfect Mile: Three Athletes, One Goal, and Less Than Four Minutes to Achieve It" (by Neal Bascomb). It's a delight to read! The description reads: There was a time when running the mile in four minutes was believed to be beyond the limits of human foot speed, and in all of sport it was the elusive holy grail. In 1952, after suffering defeat at the Helsinki Olympics, three world-class runners each set out to break this barrier.

Though this is non-fiction, it's a WONDERFUL read! I highly recommend it. (Yes, you all know I don't mind non-fiction -- but this reads with the same flow as a novel, for those who don't care for non-fiction...)

It would make a great movie, that's for sure!

By the way, I can't wait to read the book that follows "The Lost Hero," which I really enjoyed. Yeah, I'm a Rick Riordan fan! (grin)

I guess the only good part of being sick is being able to do a lot of reading...

I missed going with the Events Team to Elmer's for a Rose Meal this morning. But I couldn't have eaten then if I'd wanted to. Plus the very idea of standing up to shower so I could go? That was not happening! I hope I'm up to a shower tomorrow... (sigh)

That's it for today!
